ROSA is an epic sci-fi short film about a female cyborg who wakes up in a post-apocalyptic world, where life seemed to vanish. She was deployed by the “Kernel project”- mankind’s last attempt in saving the world. As Rosa trudges along the lonely street of the desolate world, she soon finds out that she is not alone.
She is being hunted.
Behind the scenes, ROSA is a work of a single man, Jesus Orellana. With no budget and a team, armed only with determination and talent, Jesus proceeded to make the film, starting from scratch. Over the course of a year, he single-handedly pieced together a short film that should make a buzz in film festivals.
The film is all about style, depression, and combat. Fans of The Matrix and Aeonflux will feel right at home in this short film. Although there is no dialog, it is an action-packed film that will keep the audience at the edge of their seats. And by the film’s end, the audience will be in for a surprise.
